"The lithe and graceful leopard is raw beauty personified. exquisite but extremely elusive , this magnificent creature torments many 'safari dreams'. They are rarely seen so I feel blessed to have captured their beauty with my camera a few times."  Deon De Villiers - conservationist and wildlife photographer.

famous by blood, pula, which means 'rain' in the local setswana language is the heiress of her mother legadema's honour. she is the new leopard queen of the okavango delta and walks proudly in the most famed conservation area of mombo camp.

even though classified as the most widespread of all cats, more and more these days, the leopard feels the pressure of diminishing wilderness as a result of conversion to cultivated land. persecuted by farmers, this beautiful but clandestine animal also lives in the threatening shadow of illegal wildlife trade.
